high school is hell

2003-05-17

I attended a Catholic girls' high school. So I am expected to be squeamish, demure, conio, cool, and downright pathetic - like the Final Fantasy heroines. I am also expected to be clueless and totally crazy about my least favorite gender, i. e., boys.

Stated that I got through high school, I should identify with the dilemmas of those TV teen shows: I should feel the pains of Dawson's Creek friendships, the Berks quirks, and the love hints on Meteor Garden.

For the assumptions above I have two syllables: BULLSHIT.

High school was hell that I'd rather not dwell upon. Everyone had prejudices on each other - according to them you are insane because you are a definite loner who had one or two branded loners as constant friends and confidantes. They call you freak because you are fat, wear stupidly huge black t-shirts, read too much books, and stay in the library. You are a retard because you talk about the humanitarian issues on Neon Genesis Evangelion, the new scientific discoveries, HTML, and worlds created by fantasy authors. They hate you in senior year because they don't believe that they sent you to hell, and that they deserve to go there themselves.

I got even: I passed and went to the best universities, and they dreaded it because I liked it.
